Hand-Smashed Noodles Before Eating Another activity I often do when learning about local life while exploring Southeast Asia is getting a haircut at local barbershops in different cities and countries. In Myanmar, there are two types of barbershops: traditional ones under tree roots, like the old Sanam Luang, and proper open shops. Conveniently, my hotel, Fortune Hotel, is just to the right. The barbershops in Mandalay have dozens of barbers, mostly young people.
It's not work for older people or exclusive to the shop I visited, I don't know. These barbershops don't have shampoo services; once the cut is done, it's finished. I once found a shampoo-only shop in Naypyidaw that gave an incredibly relaxing back massage. mr.hotsia August 2013 Book hotels in Mandalay Nowadays mr.hotsia gets haircuts in Mandalay at Mandalay Barber next to Fortune Hotel where I stayed 21 58 32.927 N, 96 4 46.805 E GPS coordinates (POI) In front of the barbershop in Mandalay The attached photo is not a nude photo.
