For me, Mr.Hotsia, I rented a motorcycle with a driver. He took me around the lower area and rode me up to the top of Mandalay Hill. I took the escalator a little further to reach the summit.
At the top, the breeze is cool and comfortable, with a full view of Mandalay city, including Mandalay Palace in the center. I enjoyed the view waiting at the top until sunset before coming down. On the way back, I took the same motorcycle. Regarding dress code, if wearing shorts, you must rent a sarong before going up. Those with cameras must pay a small fee at the top. This is an essential spot for everyone visiting Mandalay. You may call a regular motorcycle taxi to drop you off at the bottom and walk up.
The fare from the city is 1-2 USD. On the way back, walk down and call a vehicle back to your accommodation. When traveling like this, you should carry your hotel business card and one or two bags.
