Whenever I travel somewhere, I like to find the local food of that country or city. When I visited Yangon, I saw a shop with a sign saying it served Shan and Chinese food, so I decided to try it. I found Shan food not quite to my taste, but simple dishes like fish with chili sauce were really delicious. I also learned a useful tip: when traveling somewhere new and unsure what to eat, look at the neighboring table. If you see them ordering the same dish more than twice, order it too.
At the restaurant where I had Burmese-style fish with chili sauce, it was very delicious.
