Bueng Khong Long District, Sri Wilai District, and Bung Khla District Hotsia.com would like to present travel information about this province to increase its recognition. Let's explore Bueng Kan Province, a new province located along the Mekong River opposite Pakxan, Borikhamxay Province, Laos. After visiting Bueng Kan, we will continue to Pakxan. A few years ago, Vientiane Province in Laos was a long province parallel to Nong Khai Province.

It was separated into another province called Borikhamxay Province, where Pakxan, opposite Bueng Kan, belongs. This province looks peaceful and quiet, with mostly old wooden houses. The town is narrow, running along the Mekong River. You might have heard the song "Pakxan Rose," which has a verse: "Oh, heavenly rose of Pakxan city, you make me dream and desire, hoping to hold you close, the rose is golden when the sunlight shines from the sun" (see full song below). This song is popular among young men in Pakxan to woo girls during the annual Mekong long boat races in September. People from Bueng Kan and Pakxan used to visit each other without passports, like other border areas. The story of Thai boys and Pakxan girls has a background and the famous song "Pakxan Rose." Traveling to Bueng Kan Province is not difficult as follows: Bus 407 Pattana, route 943 (Bangkok-Udon-Nong Khai-Bueng Kan) / route 79 (Bangkok-Kumphawapi-Ban Dung-Bueng Kan) / Air Udon route 943 (Bangkok-Udon-Nong Khai-Bueng Kan) / route 79 (Bangkok-Kumphawapi-Ban Dung-Bueng Kan). Traveling from nearby provinces to Bueng Kan is also convenient. I traveled from Khon Kaen by 407 Pattana air-conditioned bus, costing 230 baht, taking 4-5 hours.

Passing through Udon Thani Province, Nong Khai Province, then running along the Mekong River past Ahong Temple and Pak Khat District. I left Khon Kaen in the afternoon and arrived in Bueng Kan in the evening. Bueng Kan has only a few hotels. The popular one is Sumran Mitr Hotel, a new hotel not far from the Mekong River, priced over 300 baht with free WIFI and breakfast. Another hotel is Maenam Hotel, similarly priced with WIFI but not riverside. Both hotels offer free bicycles (Maenam Hotel has only one).

I arrived after dark, and Sumran Hotel was full, so I stayed at the old wooden Saman Mitr Hotel for 180 baht per night. After settling in, I walked around the town a bit and ate at a riverside restaurant with several options. Tomorrow, I plan to visit the morning market and cycle around Bueng Kan Province. Laos, under the sky, there are beautiful blue flowers. If anyone sees them, they will be enchanted.

Thinking and longing, captivated and following, oh beautiful girl, so lovely to behold, truly beautiful as praised. If one is fortunate to be with her, they will wish and dream. But only one, no other woman, just captivated and longing for the heart of Pakxan city, making me dream and desire, hoping to hold you close. The rose is golden when the sunlight shines from the sun. At night, the San River flows through the Boripan area, clear and beautiful. I see the girls floating, with big and small fish drifting in the river, under the moonlight after sunset.

Today I arrived in Bueng Kan Province after dark. The quiet province offers a fan room for only 180 baht per night. I walked along the Mekong River, drank Chang beer with Khon Kaen pork sausage. After getting off the 407 tour bus, I took a tuk-tuk into Bueng Kan town and stayed at Saman Mitr Hotel for 180 baht per night. I walked along the Mekong River, drank Chang beer, and enjoyed the view of Pakxan before sleeping at the very old wooden Saman Mitr Hotel in Bueng Kan. From Khon Kaen to Bueng Kan, this room costs 180 baht per night. Bueng Kan night market
