Accommodation is at Suknirand Hotel, located near the Clock Tower. It is a long-established two-story hotel. Fan rooms cost 350 baht, air-conditioned rooms 600 baht. When I stayed at 10 PM, the fan rooms were full, so I stayed in an air-conditioned room and negotiated the price down to 500 baht. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the provincial Clock Tower, morning market, and evening market. In the morning, next to the hotel is the Yellow Car Coffee shop. Across the hotel are famous curry rice shops named Ratchaburi and Phetchaburi. At night, walking to the night market zone is just a short distance. There are several cozy coffee shops in the area.
For those who want a mid-range hotel with more comfort, consider the popular Wiang Inn Hotel located in the tourist area, not far from the Clock Tower. Another hotel is Inkam Hotel, located opposite the night market and close to the Clock Tower tourist area. For those who want to stay in a luxury hotel without worrying about expenses and located downtown, there is The Legend Chiang Rai Hotel, priced around 2,800 baht.
