I recently discovered more information that the Chiang Rai Clock Tower is not just beautiful lights for photos. At 7 PM, 8 PM, and 9 PM every day, there is an automatic light and sound show that starts when the minute hand points to 12. Each show lasts about 10 minutes with the song "Chiang Rai Remembrance" as background music. This clock tower was designed by Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat, the designer of Wat Rong Khun.
