Chiang Rai Visit to Mae Fah Luang Temple Fair

Visiting Mae Fah Luang Temple Fair: Ferris wheel, barrel car, carousel http://www.hotsia.com > Chiang Rai > Visit Mae Fah Luang Temple Fair. Do you remember once? We used to visit the village temple fair, made merit by gilding the Mala Buddha statue, built sand pagodas together, swore before the revered monk, like incense and candles joined, hoping for blessings from the monk, praying for lasting love. We enjoyed walking together, nibbling on cotton candy, watching the barrel car, teasing on the Ferris wheel.

Taking photos together, eating roadside Khanom Jeen, climbing fences and trees, secretly listening to loud Luk Thung bands, watching medicine-selling movies. Do you remember once? Today, there is no fair like before. The temple grounds are empty. I came to ask about you and the fortune sticks. "Thinking of the temple fair always brings this temple fair song to mind. This song has become the standard for what a temple fair should have. I myself travel all over Thailand, always looking for temple fairs that fit the concept of this temple fair song."

The original temple fair song was sung by the band 'Puen' (formed by former members of the old Grand Ex band). Now Tattoo Colour also sings it. Finally, when I drove down from Doi Tung, I found the Mae Fah Luang temple fair. It is a local Buddhist Lent fair with a Ferris wheel but no barrel car or cotton candy. I haven't seen the barrel car for a very long time. But with determination, I also found another temple fair at Doi Mae Salong.

So I added photos for friends to recall old days. My home is in Ban Rakat Subdistrict. When I was a child, my village had temple fairs and I liked to ride the Ferris wheel. At the end of the year, we would go to Luang Pho Sothon temple fair. That fair had everything: cotton candy, barrel car, Ferris wheel, and shooting games. This is one of my past temple fair visits. How about you? Have you ever visited? The Mae Fah Luang temple fair is a Buddhist Lent fair. The Mae Salong temple fair has shooting games but no Ferris wheel.

Carousel, a favorite for children at Mae Fah Luang temple fair when coming down from Chiang Tung. I like this photo because it shows the Doi Tung sign. Balloon dart games were rare before; I only recently saw them. At my village temple, we used to have star shooting games. Now stars are hard to make, so they use this type instead. Mae Fah Luang temple fair is a Buddhist Lent fair. Who hasn't ridden the Ferris wheel? Nowadays, temple fairs have slides that children love. Other trips by Mr.Hotsia to Chiang Rai include the highest hot springs in Thailand and the thrilling Doi Chang Mub.
