I traveled via Chiang Mai, Doi Saket, Mae Khajan, driving straight through Wiang Pa Pao. The area of Wiang Pa Pao is a wide basin with endless rice fields stretching to the horizon, backed by high mountains, creating a stunning view. Even the famous singer Bird Thongchai McIntyre
still bought a house in Wiang Pa Pao. Today, I stopped by to find out if it truly deserves the title of the most beautiful district in Thailand. The place I visited is the "Adton Noodle" shop, located diagonally opposite "Doi Chang Fresh Coffee." If you stop for a meal, I recommend Doi Chang coffee, which I find more delicious. But if you want noodles and food, stop at Adton Noodle shop. This place has a beautiful view; walk to the back of the shop for a full panoramic view of Wiang Pa Pao District. Order noodles or coffee and enjoy the amazing atmosphere.
The origin of Adton Noodles comes from the owner’s trip to Vietnam, where he patiently waited a long time for coffee but felt very satisfied once he tasted it. That inspired the name "Adton Noodle." Most of the area is forested and surrounded by mountains, with a moderately sized basin-shaped plain about 27 km wide and 41 km long. The Phi Pan Nam mountains lie to the west and south, serving as the source of the Lao River, Mae Chang Khao River, Mae Poon River, Mae Tho River, and Mae Chedi River.
The entire area is within Khun Ja National Park, covering forest areas to the west, and the Mae Poon Noi National Reserved Forest to the east, spanning approximately 560,271 rai. For me, Wiang Pa Pao’s beauty lies in its wide rice fields with mountain backdrops, which are quite rare. It truly deserves the title of the most beautiful district in Thailand.
