Food and Cuisine of Krabi Locals http://www.hotsia.com > Krabi > Food and Cuisine of Krabi Locals Enjoy Krabi to the fullest: sea, islands, town, diving at four islands, Thale Waek (Separated Sea), stir-fried holy basil at Cook Thewadee's restaurant, recommended hotels in Krabi, night market by the Krabi River, Krabi red meat rice, Krabi sunset, recommended affordable and good hotels in Krabi. I walked through the morning market and found local Krabi food such as chicken biryani, shrimp paste fried rice, morning rice porridge, and southern-style rice salad with budu sauce.

These are local dishes commonly eaten at the Krabi morning market. Outside, there are Muslim stalls selling beef biryani and oxtail soup. Southern curry rice is not very common in Krabi town. Krabi is a tourist city, especially when I visited, there were many Chinese tourists walking in the morning market. The local food culture in this tourist town has naturally absorbed influences from Western and Chinese cultures to some extent.
