Travel Nakhon Ratchasima - Sai Ngam
http://www.hotsia.com > Travel Nakhon Ratchasima > Sai Ngam I must admit I only recently discovered this tourist spot when I visited Phimai. Previously, I was confused with Sai Thong National Park in Chaiyaphum Province. Some even think there is a Sai Ngam National Park in Thailand. Actually, Sai Ngam is not a national park but a tourist attraction known for hundreds of years and has been expanding. If you come to Korat, Phimai, you should not miss it. I think many people still don’t know or are confused about it.

Located on the banks of the Mun River near the dam in Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Before crossing the Tha Songkran Bridge into Phimai town, there is a turnoff to Phimai Dam about 2 kilometers away. The atmosphere at Sai Ngam features many banyan trees. These banyans originated from a mother tree about 350 years old, spreading branches and roots that grow into many new trunks covering a wide area of approximately 15,000 square feet.
This place has been famous since the time of Queen Sri Patcharin, consort of King Rama V, who visited Phimai on January 21, 1911, and named the area Sai Ngam. Nearby, there are souvenir shops and many restaurants. A popular dish among tourists is Phimai Stir-Fried Noodles (Korat Stir-Fried Noodles), with chewy and soft noodles as delicious as Chan noodle soup. Read about the Korat and Phimai Stir-Fried Noodles I tried.
