This accommodation belongs to the uncle of my friend who studied with me in grade 9 at Bang Bo. Originally from Bang Sao Thong, Samut Prakan, but many relatives married locals in Kaeng Krachan and eventually started this homestay. Khun Usa Homestay has two single rooms by the riverside, each accommodating two people, and a large house upstairs that can accommodate ten people. In front of the house, there are three small rooms. Overall, it can accommodate about 20-30 people comfortably, suitable for small groups. The highlight of Khun Usa Homestay is the water slide for playing in the water.

Playing in the Phet river in the afternoon with cold water is very fun. At Khun Usa Homestay, they have a rope ladder to climb down into the water. The full Phet river water play experience is wearing a life jacket and floating down the river starting from the bridge. When we arrived at the homestay, we got out and had a car drive us back to the bridgehead. I saw a group of five or six people floating along the river for hours, stopping to play on the water slide at Khun Usa Homestay as well. They don’t mind sharing; the more people playing, the more fun it is. What I like is not the slide itself.

I like swimming, soaking, and exercising in the water. After getting out, I feel refreshed as if I had a great workout. Traveling to Khun Usa Homestay or Kaeng Krachan used to require a long explanation, but now you just open GPS and follow the route. It’s easy nowadays. I want to share a tip: whether in Thailand or abroad, prepare your trip by marking tourist spots, accommodations, and restaurants on your map. When you travel, you don’t need internet and won’t get lost.
