It started as a pier for local fishing boats. From there, people asked to have their food boiled or grilled to eat, then it became a restaurant for locals before becoming well-known outside, especially in Phetchaburi, Ratchaburi, and even Bangkok. The most famous restaurant in Phetchaburi is "Aunt Chaliew's Kitchen." It was originally a fish landing pier and still operates as such. Thanks to P'Moo, a Facebook fan page follower from Ratchaburi, who drove and brought me to taste at Aunt Chaliew's Kitchen.
Aunt Chaliew's Kitchen is located towards Pak Thian Beach. There are not many houses or tourists, but the restaurant is always packed with people specifically coming to eat here, which led to expanding the restaurant. If you come to eat seafood in Phetchaburi, Hua Hin, or Cha-am, missing this restaurant would be a great regret. Mr.Hotsia highly recommends not to miss it. For the location, click on the GPS link. Recommended dishes I tasted and found delicious are Crab Fried Rice, Spicy Stir-fried Sea Catfish, and Tom Yum Po Taek.
Actually, if you order more dishes, it would be even more delicious. I rank it number one because from what I tasted, the chef is truly a master cook, clearly cooking with passion and skill. This restaurant is very delicious. For me, who loves spicy food, I prefer Puangphet Restaurant which uses Karen chili peppers for stir-frying, making it somewhat superior, but not by much.
