When talking about Phetchaburi tourist spots, most people think of Khao Wang and Cha-am because they are the main attractions and easy to access. Most visitors usually visit these two places. Phetchaburi is a coastal province with abundant food. The curry rice is delicious. I stayed and slept in Phetchaburi city for three nights and visited many places. The first place I want to recommend is the seaside road towards Ban Laem.
This area has few tourists and the atmosphere is very pleasant. There are many attractions ranging from Chao Laow Beach, locally called Chao Beach, Puek Tian Beach, Cha-am Beach, then back towards Ban Laem, Laem Laew, and Laem Phak Bia. Each place is worth visiting and not widely known. For accommodation in Phetchaburi and Cha-am, most hotels are located in the seaside tourist areas. There are not many hotels in Phetchaburi city itself. When I traveled, I stayed one night at Royal Diamond Hotel.
and two nights at Khao Wang Hotel. Both have WIFI. The Royal Diamond Hotel costs 700 baht per night, twice as expensive as Khao Wang Hotel, but it is a new hotel worth staying at. If you are worried about accommodation, book a place in Phetchaburi or Cha-am first. Other places I visited in my Mr.Hotsia style, who enjoys traveling like a local, include walking through the Torung Market, the morning market, visiting Wat Luang or Wat Mahathat, and eating spicy stir-fried catfish at Puang Phet restaurant.
I also ate seafood at Pa Chaleo's Kitchen. That was enough for a worthwhile three-day stay in Phetchaburi city. The food here is probably the most perfect because Phetchaburi is famous for both savory and sweet dishes, all extremely delicious. Even eating curry rice at a no-name, unbranded shop was amazingly tasty. You don't have to think that only long-established famous restaurants are good. To travel to Phetchaburi, look at the map of my seaside trip; you might use this route to get there.
Or use it as a return route. But you should visit at least once because the atmosphere is great, giving a full travel experience, not just eating and sleeping or changing places to eat and sleep.
