Whenever I travel, I see teenagers dancing like this. At first, I didn’t know what it was, but after researching, I found out that Thais call it B-BOY dancing. Since I first created the website in early 2010, at Khelang Park there were also this kind of dances. Unfortunately, I passed by daily to play tennis and didn’t record any clips. Later, wherever I traveled, I often encountered it. When Mr.Hotsia went to Khon Kaen, there was a walking street with B-Boy dance clips below.

Today, visiting Ubon Ratchathani, there are B-Boys at Big C Ubon as well. I got the idea to collect B-Boy dance clips here and keep adding more. Wherever I go, whatever country I visit, I will gather them on this page. For those who love watching or dancing, want to learn B-Boy dancing or find teachers from B-Boy video clips, visit www.hotsia.com on this B-Boy page. One B-Boy I saw in Ubon touched the ground with one hand and lifted his leg in the air.

This B-Boy danced in this pose for almost a minute—truly a master. In each B-Boy dance group, skill levels vary, which is well known among them. They must be strong and exercise in their free time. I saw many holding the floor while waiting for their turn to dance. I think it’s great that Thai youth focus on B-Boy dancing rather than wasting time on other things. If you love B-Boy dancing, you must be strong; using drugs and dancing to show off to friends won’t work. This is the style of B-Boy dancing among Thai youth.

They play music on the street, walking street, or community area, taking turns dancing continuously. Those who haven’t danced yet practice while waiting or watch others’ masterful B-Boy skills. I enjoy watching wherever B-Boy dancing happens and will gather the best B-Boy dance clips here. Mr.Hotsia adds that according to sources, B-boy or B-girl refers to people who love hip-hop culture, especially

breakdancing. The term originated from hip-hop DJ named DJ Kool Herc, who noticed the dancers’ response while he played music and called them beat-boys or B-boys. B-Boy groups can be identified by their clothing, music taste, or lifestyle. Recently, the term specifically refers to dancers of breaking or b-boying. Generally, it is called

Breakdance, a dance style developed as part of hip-hop culture among Black and Latino youth in South Bronx during the 1970s. The term B-boy comes from break boy because they specialize in dancing. They dance to hip-hop, funk, and other music genres, often remixed music with breaks between songs. The four basic elements come from breaking dance foundations.

The first element is TopRock, meaning standing dance moves—literally 'top' means upper part, 'rock' means shake or sway. The second element is Downrock, literally 'down' means lower part, 'rock' means shake or sway, referring to dancing on the floor, also called Footwork. The third element is Freeze,

which is the finishing pose where dancers stop in various poses to end the dance or pause with the music beat. It can be a simple pose or an acrobatic one, like a headstand. The fourth element is Powermove, which uses body strength and momentum, mostly acrobatic moves involving spins on the floor or in the air.

The term breakdancing is not widely accepted in hip-hop culture because it was coined by the media to describe breaking or B-Boy dancing on the street. Pioneers and famous practitioners call it b-boying. Masterful B-Boying in Khon Kaen, B-Boy in front of Big C Ubon rubbing their heads on the floor—these two held the pose for a long time. Ubon’s B-Boy dancing is second to none.
