Horses at Baan Santichon Pai: Experience the horse lifestyle amidst Pai's natural atmosphere

When talking about Pai, many think of peace, shade, and pristine nature. But for me, mr.hotsia, experiencing "Horses at Baan Santichon" was a profound experience I intend to keep in my heart forever.

Baan Santichon is located not far from Pai town. It is a small community that perfectly preserves a simple way of life. The highlight that brought me here is the horse farm where tourists can try horseback riding amidst fields and surrounding mountains. Every horse is well cared for, friendly, and gentle, suitable for both beginners and experienced riders.

I, mr.hotsia, had the chance to talk with the farm owner. He told me that raising horses is not just a business but a way to conserve and continue the local culture deeply connected to horses. Here, horses are not just animals but companions in the rural lifestyle of Baan Santichon villagers.

Getting to Baan Santichon is easy. I chose the route from Pai town along the Pai River road, passing beautiful scenery filled with fresh natural scents. Upon arrival, there is a spacious area to prepare for horseback riding with friendly staff providing guidance. I also tried riding horses to explore the nature around the farm, passing lush green fields and small villages that still retain their original charm.

What impressed me most was the peaceful atmosphere and truly experiencing the villagers' way of life here. I saw children carefully taking care of the horses and adults still using horses as part of their daily activities, which differs from the common image of Pai as just a tourist town.

Besides horseback riding, Baan Santichon offers other interesting activities such as learning horse care and traditional horse raising methods, which I personally experienced and learned a lot from. It is a rare experience not easily found in big cities.

If anyone is interested in this experience, I, mr.hotsia, recommend planning a trip to Pai during the cool season, such as winter. Not only can you ride horses comfortably, but you can also visit many nearby interesting places likeWat Saen Thong Omkoiwhich has a long and beautiful history, or drive toJaeng Muang Restaurantin Mae Chaem to taste authentic Northern Thai food before continuing to Pai.

From my experience, mr.hotsia, horseback riding at Baan Santichon is not just ordinary tourism but a gateway to learning and experiencing the rural lifestyle in Chiang Mai province that remains pure and warm.

For those who want to see real images and atmosphere of horses at Baan Santichon Pai, I have recorded a video for you to watch here.Horses at Baan Santichon Pai horse in Paiwhich will help you clearly see the images and feelings I, mr.hotsia, experienced.
