This time, I drove up to experience the atmosphere of freshly grown coffee at nearly two thousand meters above sea level. Sipping aromatic coffee while enjoying the complex mountain views at Doi Mae Salong is a unique experience and definitely worth the trip.

The route from Chiang Rai city up to Doi Mae Salong is not easy, but not too difficult either. Especially if you have driven to Doi Chang before,Doi Changyou will know that the route here is challenging and beautiful in its own way. I started early in the morning from Chiang Rai city, driving along winding mountain roads until reaching the Yunnan Chinese village, which is the main community of Doi Mae Salong. Here, history and Chinese culture blend harmoniously with the hill tribe way of life.
