Getting to this viewpoint is not difficult. The route from Chiang Rai city to Mae Salong is quite good but requires careful driving due to some small curves and narrow road sections. For those who prefer not to drive, there are shared pickup trucks or vans available from Chiang Rai city to Mae Salong. I personally recommend renting a car for convenience and to stop at various points as you wish.
