Phahee Valley Pizza @ Doi Phahee, Chiang Rai

When talking about Chiang Rai, many people probably think of the beautiful Wat Rong Khun or the city atmosphere full of Northern culture. But for me, mr.hotsia, experiencing “Phahee Valley Pizza” at Doi Phahee is a new experience that truly completes the Chiang Rai travel journey.

Doi Phahee is located not far from Chiang Rai city. The route up the mountain can be a bit winding, but if anyone has driven to Doi Chang as I have written before,Driving to Doi Changyou will know that driving up mountains in Chiang Rai is both fun and challenging. This place is not only good for nature or beautiful views but also has a pizza shop that perfectly blends Northern food culture with Western flavors.

Phahee Valley Pizza is not your typical seafood or Hawaiian pizza you see in regular shops. Here, they use local Chiang Rai ingredients like “Phahee,” a rare native chili with a unique fragrant aroma, combined with freshly kneaded pizza dough and cheese. The taste is unique and harmonious, not just eating pizza but tasting Northern culture in one dish.

I remember when I arrived at Phahee Valley Pizza, the atmosphere was very chill, surrounded by mountain views and light mist drifting by. If anyone wants to escape the hustle and bustle of Chiang Rai city, this is a great choice because it’s not far from other famous attractions likeWat Rong Khunor even Chiang Rai city itself, which has many affordable and good hotels to choose from.Suknirand Hotelwhere I stayed is a good example for those looking for budget-friendly yet comfortable accommodation.

When I arrived in the late afternoon with soft sunlight and the cool breeze of Doi Phahee, I ordered the Phahee pizza with a local drink called Miang Kham juice, which was refreshing and cold. Soon the pizza was served: thin and crispy dough but not hard, combined with the spicy heat of Phahee chili that wasn’t too harsh on the tongue but added a distinct Northern spicy flavor I had never experienced before.

Besides pizza, this shop also offers other menus using local ingredients mixed with Western food, such as fresh vegetable salads grown in the area and herbal drinks that help warm you up. It’s perfect for anyone who loves trying new things in a mountain atmosphere.

To get to Doi Phahee from Chiang Rai city takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour by car, driving up the mountain passing through various hill tribe villages. If you have time, try stopping by to see the local lifestyle and markets for a distinctly different atmosphere from the city. I also recommend that after eating pizza, take a walk to enjoy the surrounding nature, making that day one of the most unforgettable experiences.

If you plan to visit Chiang Rai and are looking for unique activities, try adding Phahee Valley Pizza to your list. It’s an experience I, mr.hotsia, want everyone to try because it’s not just pizza but a perfect combination of culture, food, and nature.

Before heading back to town, don’t forget to visit Chiang Rai city, which has bothSaturday Walking Street “Kad Chiang Rai Ram Luek”and other food and entertainment spots I have recommended, including visitingChiang Rai Clock Towerwhich is beautiful and features a nightly light and sound show that will complete your trip perfectly.
