This small district may not be well known to many, but for me, it is a peaceful corner worth exploring, filled with simple village life that is hard to find in the major tourist spots of Chiang Rai.

Thap Than Hin is located not far from Chiang Rai city. It’s only about a 30-kilometer drive from the city center. The drive is comfortable, passing through rice fields and hill tribe villages along the way. The market in Thap Than Hin is small but full of fresh local food with great flavors.
