Tham Phra Nang, Krabi - A beautiful sea viewpoint you must visit at least once

Hello, I'm mr.hotsia. I had the chance to visitTham Phra Nang, Krabi Provincewhich is one of the most popular destinations for sea and nature lovers under Thailand's sunshine. The impression I got here is beyond words. Imagine me kayaking through clear blue waters as far as the eye can see, before discovering a small beach hidden beneath steep cliffs and a mysterious cave waiting to be explored.

Tham Phra Nang is located in Mueang Krabi District. Just mentioning the name almost paints a picture of the landscape here. It is a cave adjacent to Phra Nang Beach, one of Krabi's most beautiful and famous beaches. Getting to Tham Phra Nang is not difficult. I recommend starting from Krabi town, then taking a songthaew or renting a motorcycle to Ao Nang, and from there it's just a short walk to the cave.

Atmosphere and Experience at Tham Phra Nang

Upon arriving at Tham Phra Nang, the first thing mr.hotsia felt was the tranquility and grandeur of nature. This place is distinguished by towering limestone cliffs surrounding a small beach. The clear sea water allows you to see the sandy bottom clearly. I chose to kayak around the cave area. I must say it was exciting and brought me truly close to nature.

Tham Phra Nang is not just an ordinary tourist spot; it also holds beliefs and legends about the princess that have been passed down, making this place sacred and full of local cultural charm. I spent time listening to the sound of waves and sea breeze while watching the sunset at Tham Phra Nang, a sight not to be missed for visitors to Krabi.

Activities Around Tham Phra Nang

Tham Phra Nang is a great starting point for hiking and rock climbing, as there are trails leading toChicken IslandandPoda Islandwhich are not far away. You can also rent a long-tail boat to go snorkeling at Ao Nang, or choose a full-day adventure trip I previously shared inSchool Break 2021: Exploring Phang Nga, Krabi, Phuketas well.

For food lovers, mr.hotsia recommends trying local dishes after your trip at Krabi Night Market, which is not far away. There are many food stalls, including Krabi Hainanese Chicken Rice that I reviewed ina videoor if you like spicy stir-fried dishes, don't miss the stir-fried basil at Cook Thewada's restaurant, which I can assure you is truly flavorful (see the review inthis clip)

Travel and Tips from mr.hotsia

Traveling to Tham Phra Nang is convenient with local bus services, or if you want freedom and beautiful photo opportunities along the way, I recommend renting a motorcycle from Krabi town. You can ride along the scenic coastal road and easily stop to enjoy local food.

For photography enthusiasts, don't forget to bring your camera and waterproof gear because the sea here is crystal clear, and there are many photo spots at Tham Phra Nang, including views from the beach, limestone cliffs, and from the kayak out at sea.

After visiting Tham Phra Nang, I usually take a stroll atKrabi Night Marketto experience local life, taste a variety of snacks, and shop for souvenirs. The market is lively from evening until night and is another experience not to be missed when visiting Krabi.
