Traveling the 3 Southern Border Provinces 6/15: Deliciously Satisfying Pattani Rad Na at Nam Ros Restaurant

Hello, I’mmr.hotsiaToday, I’m taking friends for a walk and to taste the signature dishes of Pattani city once again. After traveling to explore the 3 southern border provinces many times, each province has its own charm and distinctly different flavors. This time, I want to take you to tryPattani Rad Naa famous restaurant beloved by locals and noodle food enthusiasts like me.

RestaurantNam Rosis one of the Rad Na places I visited and must recommend because of its rich Rad Na sauce, chewy wide noodles, and fully loaded ingredients including shrimp, pork, and fresh vegetables blended perfectly. The flavor here is unlike any Rad Na I’ve had in Bangkok or other provinces because the recipe is adapted to local ingredients and the taste preferences of Pattani people, making this dish unique and memorable.

I remember the first time I tasted Rad Na at this restaurant, I had to travel to the heart of Pattani city. The restaurant atmosphere is simple with only a few tables but filled with the aroma of Rad Na sauce and lively conversations. I ordered wide noodles with fresh shrimp, which were bouncy and sweet from the sea. The Rad Na sauce was thick and just right—not too sweet or salty. Eating it, you can feel the meticulous cooking.

Another thing that impressed me was the friendly service from the owner and staff. It felt like dining at a friend’s home in the Pattani community. Everything was warm and very welcoming, which I think is another charm of traveling here.

If you travel to Pattani and are looking for delicious food you shouldn’t miss, besides Nam Ros Rad Na, you can also followPattani Rad Nafrom my previous article that details the story and cooking method of this restaurant. Or if you like to try other local dishes, don’t forget to tastePattani Khao Yam (rice salad)andGo Jiew Hainanese Chicken Riceeach dish offers a diverse and distinctive taste of the southern border region.

Getting to Nam Ros restaurant is very convenient as it is located in Pattani city near an important landmark, Krue Se Mosque, also known as Sultan Muzaffar Shah Mosque. I recommend stopping by to admire this over 200-year-old architectural site because it helps deepen understanding of Pattani’s context.Watch Krue Se Mosque clipI recorded a video showing the beauty of this religious site clearly.

For those who want to see the full atmosphere of Rad Na preparation at Nam Ros, I have a clip recorded inTraveling the 3 Southern Border Provinces 6/15: Deliciously Satisfying Pattani Rad Na at Nam Ros Restaurantwhere you can see the cooking steps and real atmosphere at the restaurant, making you feel like you’re sitting and eating right beside me.

My trip to Pattani was not just about food but also experiencing the local way of life, cultural diversity, and the peacefulness rarely found in big cities. For anyone wanting to try new experiences, this is an option not to be overlooked.

Finally, if you are a foodie and like to follow my travel recommendations, try Pattani Rad Na at Nam Ros restaurant and you’ll know the taste here is truly “deliciously satisfying” as I say.
