Traveling Trang Province with mr.hotsia: The Southern Charm You Must Experience

When it comes to Trang Province for me, mr.hotsia, it’s not just a province in southern Thailand, but Trang is a city full of stories, lifestyles, and flavors truly worth experiencing. This time, I arrived at Trang Airport early in the morning to explore the city and taste its famous delicious food without holding back.

Waking Up Early to the Atmosphere of Trang Morning Market

I started my day by visitingTrang Morning MarketThis place is bustling with locals and tourists looking for fresh produce and local foods. Fresh vegetables, fruits, seafood, and authentic Trang breakfast that I had to try were Trang grilled pork and fragrant sticky rice. This market is not just an ordinary market but a center of Trang’s lifestyle that still preserves its unique identity very well.

The Flavors of Trang: Eating Sea Crab, Crab Roe, and Delicious Seafood

Trang is famous for fresh seafood, especially sea crab and crab roe that everyone must try when visiting. I chose to go to Hat Yao inKoh Libong Subdistrict, Kantang Districtwhich is a source of high-quality sea crabs freshly caught by locals. Here, I triedeating sea crab at Hat Yaoand authentic crab roe with an incredibly sweet and rich taste. There was also a curry powder crab stir-fry dish that was so rich and flavorful I had to order two plates.

If you love freshness and true deliciousness, I recommend visiting Hat Yao in the evening because besides enjoying seafood, you can also admire the beautiful sea view that is truly iconic of Trang.

Strolling Around Trang City: Lifestyle and Interesting Places

After a satisfying meal, I headed into Trang city to experience the local lifestyle, strolling along the walking street and admiring the well-preserved Sino-Portuguese architecture, which is part of the history that gives Trang its unique charm. There are also old coffee shops and local dessert shops to try.

Desserts and Sweets: Adding Sweetness After Main Meals

Trang is not only good for savory dishes but also excellent for sweets. I really enjoyed desserts from a small shop selling traditional Thai custard and old-style steamed coconut cakes. The sweetness was just right, with a dense and soft texture, sweet and rich as made by Trang locals for a long time. There are also fresh and fragrant local fruits, perfect for an afternoon snack while strolling.

Travel Tips and Techniques for Visiting Trang with mr.hotsia

Traveling to Trang is very convenient because Trang Airport has direct flights from Bangkok and other major cities. For traveling within the province, I recommend renting a motorcycle or car to fully access various tourist spots without rushing.

If you want to truly experience Trang, I suggest staying 2-3 days to savor the food, lifestyle, and beautiful places at a relaxed pace. And don’t forget to trycurry powder crab stir-fry at Hat Yaowhich is a signature dish here.
