VIP Bus Food by BKS. with a mr.hotsia travel experience

When it comes to long-distance travel in Thailand, the VIP buses of BKS. (The Transport Company Limited) are one of the options I, mr.hotsia, always think of whenever I plan a trip out of town without carrying a backpack or driving myself. The 24-seat VIP bus model from BKS. has a unique charm because not only are the seats more spacious than regular tour buses, but the food served on board is another highlight I want to share in detail.

The last time I traveled from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani, I chose the BKS. VIP 24-seat bus service based on a recommendation from Marpin, a fellow traveler who had tried it and confirmed it was really good. The seats are wide and comfortable, with reclining backrests. Although they don't recline a full 180 degrees like business class on airplanes, for sleeping on a bus, it's very good compared to other bus experiences I've had.

The food on the BKS. VIP bus impressed me more than I expected. Normally, I prepare my own food or stop to eat at roadside rest stops, but this time the bus provided snacks and drinks, along with a scheduled stop at Si Khio for hot rice porridge at midnight. It was a meal I never thought I'd have on a bus at night like this.

If you don't want rice porridge, you can exchange for other snacks worth about 30 baht, which is quite good value and very convenient. You don't have to worry about getting hungry on the way. Although it's a bus, the food service and comfort make it feel like riding a good-class train or an economy flight with full meal service.

Varied travel atmosphere and interesting rest stops

This BKS. VIP bus mainly boards and alights at Rangsit and Wang Noi. For those living around Rangsit or the outskirts of Bangkok, it's very convenient without having to go all the way to Sai Tai or Mo Chit stations. The travel is quite free and flexible, similar to the backpacking style I have recommended in my articles.Preparing for independent travel, traveling solo, backpackingwhich emphasizes comfort and planning suitable for each person's style

Along the way, the bus stops periodically. One of my favorite stops is Si Khio, which has many local food shops and souvenir stores. This atmosphere reminds me of a small fresh market I once encountered inHa Tien Provincewhich, although not a big city, is full of vibrancy and local cuisine worth exploring.

Authentic Thai-style food on the BKS. VIP bus that is extraordinary

The food served on the bus offers several choices such as boxed meals including fried rice, stir-fried holy basil, or simple single-dish meals. The taste I experienced reflected the care of the providers who want passengers to enjoy delicious, clean, and nutritionally balanced food. Snacks include both Thai sweets and popular crunchy treats. I once tried the spicy holy basil stir-fry reminiscent of the Khlong Thai Rangsit boat noodle shop I reviewed inStir-fried Holy Basil from Khlong Thai Rangsit Boat Noodle Shopwhich was truly flavorful.

What impressed me most was the cleanliness and systematic management. Serving food on the BKS. VIP bus reminded me of the dedication in service comparable to any airline. This is something I, mr.hotsia, want everyone to try at least once before deciding on other bus options.

Advice for travelers wanting to try a new experience

For anyone looking for a comfortable and unhurried way to travel to other provinces, the BKS. VIP bus is a very interesting choice, especially for those who enjoy independent travel like me, mr.hotsia. Tasting the food on the bus and resting on wide seats while watching movies on a personal screen along the way makes the journey far from boring.

Additionally, there are opportunities to stop at various points with local food shops and souvenir stores, which is part of the fun of backpacking or independent travel. You can see from my experiences visiting and staying in several provinces such asHa Tien Provinceor traveling to Tam Dao mountain in Vietnam, which I wrote about in the articleTraveling Tam Dao / Tam Dao Vietnam (tam dao Vietnam)all of which involve bus travel and stopping at various points.

Summary of experiences and impressions from mr.hotsia

To summarize my experience using the BKS. VIP bus service, it exceeded expectations in terms of spacious seats, quality food service, and comfort suitable for long-distance travel, especially for those who dislike rushed travel or want to rest fully along the way.

I recommend trying this service at least once. For those who like independent travel and want to experience new ways of traveling in Thailand, this is another option I, mr.hotsia, want everyone to try. Besides enjoying the trip, you also get to taste delicious and convenient food on the bus.
