Recommended hotels in Phan Rang: Simple accommodations infused with local charm by mr.hotsia

I, mr.hotsia, had the opportunity to arrive in Phan Rang–Thap Cham city in Gia Lai province, Vietnam, in the early evening. Arriving at this time meant I didn’t have much time to look for a hotel, so I stayed at the "Trang Ha" hotel, which impressed me with its traditional charm and unique atmosphere.

The accommodation price here is about 330 baht per night, which is quite affordable for basic complete services. It includes air conditioning and hot water, which are very important for travelers seeking comfort after a tiring day of sightseeing. This hotel has an interesting feature: transparent wrought iron doors that allow a view of the sea. Additionally, the floors and windows are translucent, creating an open feeling and close connection to the outside atmosphere. I walked up to the third floor and could clearly see the first and second floors below. This was a new experience for me traveling in this area.

If you travel to Phan Rang and want accommodation with this kind of charm, I recommend exploring the "Trang Ha" hotel. Nearby, there is another hotel located by the river on the left side of the city entrance. This hotel looks unusual because it resembles a church. If you like something different, you might want to visit it as well.

In downtown Phan Rang, the main street I walked along is lined with many hotels offering a wide selection. Nowadays, finding accommodation is no longer difficult. Just have a mobile phone and internet access, and you can use Google Maps to pin and search for hotels that fit your budget and preferences easily. I usually log in with my Gmail account and download maps in advance so that when I arrive, I don’t have to rely on the internet all the time. Most importantly, I don’t have to worry about taxis taking unfamiliar routes or charging excessive fares.

Phan Rang with Morning Market Atmosphere and Local Food

Phan Rang is a small city with two main morning markets, one of which is near the hotel where I stayed. This morning market is not as bustling as markets in big cities, but this kind of atmosphere is what I like because it reflects the real lifestyle of the locals. I enjoyed browsing the market goods and tasting local food sold at affordable prices.

What impressed me was seeing red ox carts pulling wagons back and forth. This kind of atmosphere is hard to find in developed cities. I also tried green bean porridge sold by an elderly lady beside the market. The taste was not sweet, and the porridge texture was smooth. It’s a simple breakfast that made me feel warm and want to come back again.

For those interested in local food of Gia Lai province, I, mr.hotsia, have recommended restaurants in Pleiku city, which is not far from Phan Rang. You can read more details atTraveling Solo in Pleiku, Gia LaiandLocal Food and Ua Liquor in Pleiku, Gia Laiwhich I have written about. There are delicious local dishes such as grilled chicken, sticky rice in bamboo, and fried chicken with fish sauce that I really enjoyed.

For finding accommodation in Phan Rang, using Google Maps made it much easier for me to manage lodging. I recommend logging in with your Google account and downloading offline maps in advance so you can confidently search and navigate to your desired hotel without relying on the internet all the time. Most importantly, check reviews and prices before deciding to get accommodation that is worth it and suits your travel style.

Phan Rang: A Quiet Destination with Local Lifestyle and Culture

Phan Rang is not a large city but has many charming experiences to offer, including simple morning markets, local lifestyles, and delicious local food. Additionally, the surrounding natural atmosphere and nearby coastline add to the enjoyment of my travels, mr.hotsia.

If you visit Phan Rang, don’t forget to take photos of the morning market atmosphere, stroll along the main streets, and try local foods like sticky rice in bamboo or highland-style grilled chicken with unique flavors. There are also various hotel styles to choose from for relaxation according to individual preferences.
