I, mr.hotsia, recently had the chance to visit Nam Dinh Province, located south of Hanoi, not far from Lang Son. This place is unlike the major tourist cities we usually know because Nam Dinh still retains its peacefulness and is a city not yet widely known among foreign tourists. For me, visiting here was a truly impressive new experience.

Nam Dinh Province is quite famous for its clear sea, especially Quat Lan Beach, a popular spot among Vietnamese locals for enjoying fresh seafood. Although I arrived first in Nam Dinh city and stayed at a downtown hotel calledLakeside Hotelwhich costs about 900 baht per night, I must say finding affordable accommodation in the city center is not easy because this city is not a major tourist destination and mostly hosts business travelers.

The atmosphere in Nam Dinh city is quite unusual because each zone is clearly organized, such as dining areas, shopping areas, and residential zones, making it somewhat challenging to find food in the city. On my first night, I found some unusual restaurants like cat meat and dog meat restaurants. These exist here too, not just elsewhere. If you are interested in local life, I recommend visitingNam Dinh Morning Marketwhich is not far from Lakeside Hotel. I strolled around and watched the locals there. In the morning, you can see elderly people gathering to sip hot tea and chat warmly. This kind of atmosphere is rare to find in big cities.

But when it comes to the most impressive relaxation experience in Nam Dinh, I must highlight my time at Quat Lan Beach where I stayed atBac Ha Resorta small seaside resort costing only 600 baht per night. It offers full services from sauna, hot showers to Vietnamese-style massages that made me feel incredibly relaxed. The rooms are clean and the atmosphere peaceful, perfect for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of big cities.

Quat Lan Beach’s water may not be clear enough for fun swimming like other seas, but it is a hub for fresh seafood restaurants with charming Vietnamese girls inviting customers to enjoy the seafood enthusiastically. I stopped by a special Vietnamese grilled pork restaurant at a seaside corner, where pork is grilled on a hot pan with butter in the Vietnamese style. One of my memorable experiences here was getting a massage at the resort after seafood dining. The Vietnamese massage service at Bac Ha Resort made me feel refreshed and truly rejuvenated. Although Quat Lan Beach does not attract many foreign tourists, young Vietnamese people enjoy relaxing and having fun with seafood here. This is another joy I want to invite those who love deep travel experiences to try for themselves.
