Seafood buffet in Vung Tau: A delicious experience not to be missed by mr.hotsia

Vung Tau, a beautiful coastal city ofBa Ria–Vung Tauis a destination I, mr.hotsia, chose to fully experience the Vietnamese seaside atmosphere. But if you’re going to the beach, not tasting fresh seafood to your heart’s content would definitely be missing something.

This time, I planned to hunt for a seafood buffet at thePetro Househotel, which is famous for its full-scale dinner buffet. The price here is about 239,000 dong, or roughly 400 baht in simple Thai currency conversion. The value exceeded expectations because I didn’t stay here but came just to fully enjoy the food.

The buffet here offers a wide variety of fresh seafood including shrimp, shellfish, crab, and fish. The best part is you can order them grilled fresh and hot. Large fragrant grilled shrimp, sweet fresh oysters, and firm crab meat are dishes I indulged in without holding back. It’s a delight rarely found in other coastal cities.

But what impressed me the most was the roast duck here. It’s a whole duck served unlimited, tender and juicy with slightly crispy skin, paired with Vietnamese-style chicken rice that is soft and richly spiced, evoking flavorsof Ba Ria fried chicken ricewhich I have reviewed before. The impressive part is that both the duck and chicken are served whole, not just small pieces, so you can really enjoy them fully like mr.hotsia.

Besides seafood and duck and chicken, they also have Vietnamese desserts that I really like to finish the meal. They are delicious without being greasy or overly sweet, perfect for refreshing after a heavy savory meal.

On the day I went to the buffet, I traveled to Vung Tau from Ba Ria city, passing through the roads and atmosphere ofBa Ria–Vung Tauwhich has a beautiful and peaceful southeastern coastline. Vung Tau, located about 170 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, is a very suitable getaway for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city.

I took a walk along the back beach, known as Bai Sau, which is the most beautiful long curved beach in Vung Tau. I sat enjoying the sea view and the coastal road, famous as one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam. The Vung Tau sea beach is very beautiful (Vung Tau)The evening atmosphere enhanced the enjoyment of the buffet even more.

After a satisfying buffet, I walked to see the dog racing track, which is not far from Petro House hotel, just a few minutes on foot. Getting around this city is very convenient without needing to rely on taxis and spend extra money, allowing me to plan a budget-friendly and fun trip.

If anyone wants to fully relax and enjoy seafood to the fullest, I recommend staying at Petro House hotel. Besides the delicious buffet, it has a great location, convenient transportation, and is close to other attractions in Vung Tau.

For those planning to visit Vung Tau, I, mr.hotsia, have additional advice that getting here is easy and convenient. There are regular buses from Ba Ria to Vung Tau bus station, which connects to other cities in Vietnam. There is also a speedboat service between Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh City, making round trips hassle-free.Vung Tau bus stationis an important point you should know when visiting here.

This seafood buffet experience in Vung Tau is a memory I, mr.hotsia, want to share because it’s not just about eating but about experiencing the lifestyle and atmosphere of a colorful and simple coastal city, as well as tasting fresh seafood flavors hard to find elsewhere. For travel and food lovers wanting to deeply experience Vietnam, I thinkthe seafood buffet at Petro House Vung Tauis a suitable and worthwhile choice for your trip.
