This place was an old French prison, now converted into a museum. It was a prison during the French colonial period and was destroyed during the revolution. It tells the story of the city 70 years ago. At Son La Museum, there is a Vietnamese guide dressed in traditional Black Thai costume serving tourists, but he speaks Vietnamese which I couldn't understand. What I liked about Son La Museum is the view on the way up and down where you can see the city of Son La because the museum is located on a hill. Looking down, you can see a beautiful cityscape.
On the way up, I didn’t know the area so I took a taxi, but actually it’s close to where I stayed.
