I was impressed by the grilled madan fruit here. They stuff madan leaves inside the grilled dish making it very delicious, perfect with hot rice. The weather here is hot and humid with quite a few flies. In the city near the hotel, there are two or three fresh coffee shops with good flavor. For breakfast, I recommend walking to the morning market to enjoy pho or bun noodles from street vendors, delicious and a chance to see the lifestyle of Thai Nguyen (Thái Nguyên) locals in the morning. Or you can have banh mi which is widely available. For lunch in the heat, I ate on the 11th floor of the hotel. Dinner is worth it and you don’t have to be out in the sun.
