Phu Quoc Island Food on Phu Quoc Island

Food on Phu Quoc Island http://www.hotsia.com > Phu Quoc Island > Food on Phu Quoc Island Phu Quoc is an island with abundant food supply, no need to buy from the mainland. The island's fruits are not expensive like other islands that cannot produce their own. I stayed on Phu Quoc Island for 2 nights, so I didn't get to taste much except durian and mango. The durian here is fragrant, creamy, and delicious. It's not the Monthong durian like the one I ate in Kampot Province, Cambodia.

Food on Phu Quoc Island costs about 100 baht per dish in tourist areas, while in local areas it's 30-40 baht. The local area is near the fresh market side, where many food stalls are located. If you rent a motorbike, you can ride there to eat, or it's not far to walk. The must-try food is the seafood of Phu Quoc Island — cheap, fresh, delicious, and diverse to choose from. The main breakfast that Mr.Hotsia loves is French bread with two eggs, chili, pepper, and sometimes a little pork.

This is a perfect breakfast, not too heavy, followed by a cup of Vietnamese coffee or iced Vietnamese coffee. Very relaxing until noon. For lunch, I think riding a motorbike to find local food is great — fresh fish, squid, shrimp. I met locals catching squid and asked to buy some for them to cook for me: fried with dipping sauce. The dipping sauce is a local Phu Quoc Vietnamese sweet fish sauce with tamarind — extremely delicious. They also gave me rice. Eating right on the beach with the sea breeze is very comfortable, watching the Vietnamese coastal lifestyle.

No need to speak, just use hand gestures. But not many places have beachside stalls, so you need to ride a motorbike to find them. mr.hotsia January 2012 Ordered fresh squid on the beach, locals fried it for me — fresh.
