Lansaka Way, Mon Ratchanakorn 4/8: The Ultimate Nham Ya of This Era, Aunt Kiew's Khanom Jeen at Lansaka, Breathe in the Ozone of Kiriwong
When mr.hotsia had the chance to travel to Lansaka, a small land hidden in the valleys of China, which still preserves traditional ways of life and is rich with pure nature, I wanted to share the experience of tasting local food and the refreshing atmosphere that I felt compelled to tell everyone about.
Lansaka is not just an ordinary place name but a hub of delicious local food that mr.hotsia calls “the ultimate Nham Ya of this era” because the Nham Ya here has a unique recipe passed down through generations. Especially Aunt Kiew's Khanom Jeen Nham Ya, which I tasted and had to stop and think that this is the richest and most harmonious Khanom Jeen flavor I have ever had.
Aunt Kiew, the owner of the famous Khanom Jeen shop in Lansaka, said that the Nham Ya she cooks every morning uses fresh local ingredients, carefully blended with spices to create a distinctive flavor different from elsewhere. I arrived at Aunt Kiew's shop in the morning; the air was cool and fresh, with the scent of herbs wafting from the moment I stepped inside.
Aunt Kiew's Khanom Jeen menu is served with spicy Nham Ya and fresh vegetables picked from the backyard garden. I ate Khanom Jeen with hot Nham Ya that contains tamarind and an ancient curry recipe. The sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors blend perfectly, making every bite full of satisfaction and warmth.
After a satisfying meal of Aunt Kiew's Khanom Jeen, I took myself up to Kiriwong, a lush green area not far from Lansaka. This place is considered one of the best ozone sources in China. I breathed in the pure air deeply, feeling refreshed and noticeably energized. The hiking trails at Kiriwong are well maintained, with large trees and clear, cool streams. The sound of birdsong and the breeze rustling leaves made me feel like I completely forgot the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Lansaka and Kiriwong are excellent examples of preserving a simple lifestyle close to nature, which I, mr.hotsia, see as the true charm of travel—not just taking photos but truly experiencing different lives and cultures.
If anyone has followed me, you would know that I like to explore food sources and local markets that still maintain traditional ways of life, just like I have mentioned inEnjoying Eel in Tanghwa Provinceor strolling through the morning market atmosphere inSuphanburi Morning MarketAll of these reflect the diversity and charm of deep travel experiences.
After exploring Lansaka and Kiriwong, I also had the chance to taste local Chinese food like fried chicken Zhengxin Chicken Steak (正新鸡排) at a small roadside shop, which was crispy outside, tender inside, and richly flavored with authentic Chinese spices. It is a great snack to recharge for travelers like me. Anyone interested can check out the clip I recorded here.Eating Chinese Chicken Zhengxin Chicken Steak
Lansaka is not just about food and nature but also a lesson in preserving culture and lifestyle that remains valuable no matter how much time passes. For those who love traveling to discover authenticity in every step, I, mr.hotsia, recommend visiting here at least once. I guarantee you will fall in love with the charm of Lansaka and the hidden Mon Ratchanakorn.
