The oldest pedestrian street in the world that I know, thousands of years old, called Beijing Lu in English. In Chinese it is pronounced 'Beijing Lu', where 'Lu' means street in Mandarin. This street is unique compared to other pedestrian streets because it features an ancient pedestrian street for tourists to see, divided into periods going back thousands of years. There are glass panels to peek through. Both Chinese and international tourists are amazed and take photos here as souvenirs.
Besides the ancient pedestrian street under glass, Beijing Lu is also a modern pedestrian street for tourists to stroll and take photos. There are shops selling goods along both sides of the street, about 200-300 meters long. If you walk to the end and continue, you will reach the Zhujiang River. At night, many tourists enjoy cruising the Zhujiang River. Several companies sell tickets by the river. The goods sold on Guangzhou's pedestrian street are mainly fashion and clothing because Guangzhou is a clothing city.
Many people fly to Guangzhou to buy clothes to sell in Thailand. I did not see any street vendors; all shops are roadside stores.
