You can buy rechargeable tickets or single-ride tickets from automatic ticket vending machines. You can insert bills into the machine and it will give change. I recommend buying tickets from these machines. The Guangzhou Metro is called Subway and has several lines as follows: Line 1 has 16 stations and travels to the local East Railway Station. Line 2 has 24 stations running from north to south. Line 3 runs from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.

Line 4 has 18 stations, starting from Chebeinan in the north to Jinzhou. This line runs east to west, passing through the railway station and Guangzhou's business district. This route was designed for the 2010 Asian Games. The last line opened in 2010 and connects the south bank of the Pearl River.
