Since Nanning is located in southern China, not far from Vietnam and Laos, the local food is quite similar to Thai cuisine. The food street offers a wide variety of dishes, focusing on hot pots, grilled items, and seafood, with fragrant aromas filling the nearly one-kilometer-long street. The food I tried here included grilled corn, barbecue pork, grilled scallops, and Chinese steamed rice crepes. I didn't try the hot pot dishes. Initially, I planned to save room for roast duck because I heard that roast duck is popular in China.
However, on my way back, the roast duck at the shop I had saved was sold out, and roast duck shops were hard to find, so I missed out on enjoying Nanning roast duck fully. I must recommend that the most famous food in Nanning is noodles. They are sold everywhere along the street. I tried a well-known franchise that was delicious as expected.
