When I was in Don Khong, Champasak, there was no tennis court, so I just played badminton for the time being. Finding a tennis court in Pakse, I had to play. The tennis courts in Pakse are located at marker 6 or kilometer 6, as shown in the picture above. There are many courts here, all new and good. The court surface is a bit slow but not too slow.

I stayed in Pakse town. To play tennis, it took a lot of effort. First, I bought a new can of tennis balls, price 250 baht per can, brand Wilson, US Open model. I don't remember the price in Thailand. Then I took a tuk-tuk to marker 6. Every tuk-tuk charged 20,000 kip or 80 baht, which is the same price as a small two-row tuk-tuk. I took the small two-row tuk-tuk for 80 baht because it was faster than the tuk-tuk. I arrived at the court almost at dusk; I should have come earlier. The court was mostly empty.
At the court, I met a coach named Khru Niam who teaches tennis here. He is a tennis player who once competed in the SEA Games in Korat. I asked to play with him. We played for about an hour. He is really good. I got tired and sweaty. The court fee here is free, but there is an electricity fee of 100 baht per hour. If there is a kid to collect balls, the fee is 10,000 kip. If anyone travels independently and wants to play tennis here, contact Khru Niam at Lao phone number 99720649.
If calling from Thailand to a Lao mobile number, dial +856 20 99720649. After playing today, Khru Niam kindly gave me a ride back to my accommodation by motorcycle.
