I was born in Samut Prakan Province, Ban Rakad Subdistrict, Bang Bo District, adjacent to Chachoengsao Province. So part of my life has revolved around Chachoengsao. As a child, I visited the annual Luang Pho Sothon festival every year. The canal in front of my house allowed boat travel to Chachoengsao. Locals live with gardens, farms, small canals, and the Bang Pakong River.
This has created many community-based tourism spots. The popular tourist attractions in Chachoengsao today that locals and visitors often visit are: 1. Luang Pho Sothon Temple 2. Klong Suan 100-Year Market 3. The Giant Rahu Statue 4. Bang Khla Floating Market. These five are the most frequently visited places. The floating market is only open on weekends and is not very large. This province is famous for salted crab at the market behind Luang Pho Sothon Temple. I'm not sure if it still exists today. There are also very old and famous restaurants.
Since my school days at Benchamarachuthit School, there has been Mathuros Ruen Pae restaurant. It used to be in front of the hospital. Back then, I passed by but couldn't afford to eat there. Now that I'm grown up, I want to enjoy it fully. Follow my stories about the food I try. Traveling to Chachoengsao or Paed Riu is easy: take the motorway and follow signs to Chachoengsao. It's not difficult and takes less than an hour from Bangkok, making it a popular destination for many tourists.
Besides these main attractions, sometimes dolphins appear at the mouth of the Bang Pakong River for visitors to see. For those who enjoy river lifestyles, there are many places open for tours.
