Korat or Nakhon Ratchasima Province is a large city that requires several days to explore fully. I arrived in Korat in the afternoon and it took quite a while to find the Ya Mo Monument because whenever I visit a city,
I always stop to pay respects to the sacred symbols of that city first. In Korat, besides paying homage to Ya Mo, I also passed through Chumphon Gate. It is said that passing through it means you become a son-in-law of Korat, so how could I miss that? Hehe. Korat has many tourist attractions, especially within the city itself, including places to visit and eat. For this trip, I decided to save the city tour for later and explore outside the city first. Next trip, I will leave the car behind and walk around the entire Korat city.
So I drove out heading towards Sa Kaeo to visit Wang Nam Khiao and then had steak at Chokchai Steakhouse. I bid farewell to Korat city, which seemed very busy with traffic, a big city that Mr.Hotsia really got lost in. The places I haven't visited yet include Phimai Stone Castle and camping at Khao Yai National Park, which I will save for another trip. Before leaving Korat, I ate Korat-style stir-fried noodles at a suburban restaurant.
Then I drove straight across Pak Mountain heading to Wang Nam Khiao immediately. I will definitely return to explore Korat city for several days again. I leave it here for now and will write more on this page later.
