Ban Phe Pier Pier to Koh Samet Boat to Koh Samet Accommodation on Koh Samet Samet Accommodation http://www.hotsia.com > Rayong > Ban Phe Pier Pier to Koh Samet Boat to Koh Samet Traveling to Samet Today I had the chance to visit Koh Samet and gathered travel information to share. There is a lot of information about Koh Samet on the internet including travel and accommodation. For my data collection, I focused on traveling and took photos to share continuously.

Focus on video clips to show what Samet is like today. Accommodation on Koh Samet is located along various beaches and bays with a wide range of prices to choose from. The popular beach for freshmen or young travelers is Sai Kaew Beach. Accommodation at Sai Kaew Beach can be booked as I recommend below or you can walk in if it is not a long holiday, but accommodations on Koh Samet are usually fully booked. If you bring a car, you must park it at the pier before crossing to Koh Samet.
Then take a boat to Koh Samet. There are 3 Ban Phe piers in total with passenger boats of various sizes accommodating 10-100 people. The trip takes about 30 minutes and operates from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The 3 piers on Koh Samet are located at the head of the island, Ao Wong Duean (east side), and Ao Prao (west side).
Additionally, some operators at smaller bays prefer to use private speedboats to transfer tourists from Ban Phe to their resorts. This time I used Nuantip Pier round-trip service. Upon arrival at Koh Samet, there are green island shuttle vehicles parked at the pier in front of 7-Eleven with clear fares to various beaches. Since Koh Samet has been open to tourists for a long time,
operators on the island understand how to serve and maintain long-term tourists very well. No one ruins the travel atmosphere by overcharging or any unfair practices, unlike many places in Thailand that exploit tourists when given the chance. For travel from Bangkok to Ban Phe Pier, there are the following options (Thanks to http://www.sametclick.com for Nuantip Pier information). Route 1 follows Highway
34 Bangna-Trad. Drive straight to the 'Chonburi Bypass' intersection or when driving on Bangna-Trad, take the tollway elevated road for about 40 km ending at Bangpakong. After exiting the tollway, look for the sign on the left saying 'Chonburi Bypass'. Turn onto that road and follow signs for 'Pattaya-Rayong' until the end where Chonburi Bypass meets Highway 36. Turn according to the Rayong sign. From there, it is about 60 km from Rayong city. Continue driving.
Then pass Big C shopping mall (on the left), cross the overpass straight ahead without turning into Rayong city. Follow signs for 'Chanthaburi-Trat' to reach Ban Phe, which is 19 km from Rayong city. Along the way, you will pass the TPI factory. Keep following the 'Chanthaburi' signs straight until you reach the Mae Ramphueng Beach intersection. Drive straight for another 5-7 minutes until you see Khao Sam Sip Thong Temple on the left. After the temple is a traffic light intersection with signs for 'Ban Phe' and 'Koh Samet'.
Turn right into Ban Phe (if you miss this first Ban Phe intersection, there is another intersection with a sign for 'Ao Phe' where you can also turn right into Ban Phe). From the Ban Phe intersection, after turning in, drive about 2 km until you see signs on the left for 'Suan Son' and 'Ban Phe Police Station'. Turn left following those signs (if you pass this, you will reach a souvenir market and a dead end). From there, drive straight for about 2 km until a sharp curve. Follow the curve (there is a Nuantip Pier sign to guide you)
and then reach the Sri Ban Phe three-way intersection. Turn left again and drive about 2 km. You will see the police station on the left and Nuantip Pier branch 2 on the right, directly opposite. Nuantip Pier 1 is another 50 meters ahead. Route 2 follows Highway 3 (Sukhumvit Road) for 220 km. Upon reaching Rayong city, drive straight for about 19 km to Ban Phe. Look for the 'Ban Phe-Koh Samet' sign. Route 3 follows Highway 3 and turns left from Sukhumvit Road at km 136.5 onto Highway 36 for 185 km. Continue driving until you reach Big C mall (please read details for Route 1).
Route 4 follows Highway 34 (Bangna-Trad) and then Highway 3138 passing Ban Bueng district for 179 km. If you take this route, upon reaching Rayong, Big C mall will be on your right. At the Big C intersection, turn left following signs for 'Chanthaburi-Trat' (please read details for Route 1). Route 5 follows Highway 3 and then Highway 344 (Bangna-Chonburi-Klaeng route). Then follow signs for 'Ban Phe' or 'Suan Son'. Drive along Suan Son road. After passing Suan Son, you will see Nuantip Pier on your left.
Route 6 is for travelers using the motorway. Upon reaching Pattaya, turn onto Highway 36 to Rayong province. You can also use the Bangkok-Chonburi-Ban Bueng route and continue on Highway 3138 passing Pluak Daeng and Ban Khai districts to Rayong city. Upon reaching the city, you will see the Big C intersection. Turn left following signs for 'Chanthaburi-Trat' (please read above for Route 1). This boat to Samet is about to depart near Koh Samet.
