I live in Bang Bo, near the canal, so I really like fish. When I visited Rayong, I found out there are Wat Lum Market and Old Wat Lum Market right next to each other. At Wat Lum Market, being a market of Rayong locals, there must be fresh sea fish for me to see. I was not disappointed waking up early and riding a motorcycle from my hotel to this Wat Lum Market.

At Wat Lum Market, there are many kinds of fresh sea fish sold by various vendors. In the morning, the market is quite lively. I think people come here more to buy ready-to-eat food. There are many dessert shops here. Rayong people seem to love sweet treats like these. I saw honeycomb cake and many other desserts. If you’re not afraid of gaining weight, this place won’t disappoint you. After walking around the market once, I went to find traditional coffee like locals do, near the ice factory by the market.
Seeing the locals chatting happily, I joined in and ordered coffee and soft-boiled eggs. Wow, this place cooks eggs perfectly, just right and delicious, exactly how I like it. Mr.Hotsia’s morning walk at Wat Lum Market. Many fresh fish with interesting appearances. I even forgot the name of one after asking. The soft-boiled eggs were perfectly cooked. My breakfast was coffee and soft-boiled eggs + Mr.Hotsia’s trip to Rayong: Ban Phe Pier - to Koh Samet, nightlife at Samet, Old Wat Lum Market, and admiring fresh fish at Wat Lum Market.
