It is a hotel in a very good location. This hotel is new, opened just last year. The hotel is opposite ICON shopping mall and close to the night market at the shrine. It is next to Bangkok Bank, Krungsri, and TMB Bank.
Tuk-tuks pass right in front of the hotel. The service is excellent, so Mr.Hotsia highly recommends this hotel for anyone visiting Surat Thani city. However, the hotel has a downside: the dressing table has a large drawer and a high chair, making it uncomfortable to sit and work with your legs under the table. I’m not sure if it’s because I have long legs, but it really isn’t convenient. For those who only need to do light makeup and not work for long hours like Mr.Hotsia, this hotel is fine. There are many hotels in Surat Thani city center with various options and prices.
I have walked around and stayed at many places. I have also stayed at Thai Rung Ruang Hotel and asked about prices at several hotels. I think My Place Hotel offers great value for the price. I stayed there for 440 baht per night. The cheapest room is 199 baht, which is a fan room. The cheapest air-conditioned room is 390 baht, but there is only one available. Most hotels nowadays have WiFi, but just having WiFi is not enough. You should bring your notebook to test the speed because some places advertise WiFi but it’s very slow. At My Place @ Surat Hotel,
Download speed is 12 Mb and upload nearly 1 MB. Since I have to work all day, I had to test it first. I was satisfied.
