I wanted to visit Lamphu Island, the island in the middle of Tapi River in Surat Thani city, to experience the authentic Surat Thani atmosphere and to enjoy large oysters, true to the province's slogan. So I took a tuk-tuk to Krua Chai Thung, a restaurant recommended by a local friend from Surat Thani for its good taste, nice atmosphere, and availability of oysters.
I dined alone at sunset with beautiful views and live music playing old songs from my youth, perfectly matching the atmosphere. I ordered a pitcher of beer, set up my camera to record and share stories about Surat Thani. I was so immersed in the ambiance that I forgot to take pictures of the food.
