Playing Tennis in Khon Kaen Tennis Courts in Khon Kaen Province with mr.hotsia

For me, mr.hotsia, who loves to travel endlessly without a permanent home, bringing a tennis racket on every trip has become normal. I believe good travel should never forget exercise. I choose tennis as my regular activity. Wherever I go, if there is a tennis court, I try to play a bit so that eating and traveling won’t just turn into eating and gaining weight easily.

On my latest trip to Khon Kaen, I didn’t miss bringing my favorite tennis racket, a bright orange Boris Becker, carefully packed. Honestly, my skill isn’t expert level, just amateur playing for fun rather than strength or skill, but I try to hit with all my might until I’m breathless.

The tennis court I chose to play at in Khon Kaen is located nearKhon Kaen Walking StreetThat’s right. It should be the courts near the provincial hall. The advantage of this court is that there are 6 courts total and the fee is only 50 baht per session for outsiders. The atmosphere is quite good with players of various skill levels to choose from. As an amateur, I was paired with other beginners, so I felt comfortable playing.

I must say there are many skilled tennis players here. Some are so good I can hardly keep up. But it’s a great challenge and fun to play with better players. I try to hit the ball to the net and keep it going, even though I obviously lose, but it lets me exercise and enjoy my favorite sport at the same time.

After playing tennis, I immediately walked along Khon Kaen Walking Street. This place impressed me a lot because it’s lively with many food and goods choices, as well as local art and culture reflecting Isan lifestyle perfectly. Anyone interested can read more atKhon Kaen Walking Streetwhich I have detailed before.

Speaking of Khon Kaen, besides sports, food is another charm I never miss, like the famous breakfast shop serving jok, jap sen, and noodles that I tried. The taste is extraordinary. And if you like spicy Isan food, don’t miss the restaurantNoi Lab Pedwhich offers duck larb, spicy duck soup, fried duck, and fried intestines to enjoy fully. This spicy food really fuels my tennis playing well.

Khon Kaen is a major city in Isan with deep history and culture, likeKhon Kaen City Pillar Shrinewhich I have visited, and also natural attractions likeUbolrat Damperfect for relaxing after tiring sports.

For friends who have never tried tennis, I recommend it’s a sport for all ages, fun and good for health while meeting new people at the tennis courts. Khon Kaen has many courts open to the public. If you already play or have favorite courts in other provinces of Thailand, Laos, or Vietnam, don’t forget to email me. Maybe when I visit, I can play with you for a day or two and exchange experiences.

Ultimately, traveling to play tennis in Khon Kaen with mr.hotsia is not just about exercise but truly experiencing the lifestyle and culture of this Isan city through tennis courts, walking streets, local food, and friendships made playing sports with locals here.

If you want to deeply experience Khon Kaen’s atmosphere while taking care of your health, pack your tennis racket and come play here. You’ll surely love it as much as mr.hotsia does!
