Recommended Hotels in Mui Ne: Affordable and Comfortable Accommodation for Travelers

Hello, I'm mr.hotsia. Today, I want to share my relaxing experience in Mui Ne, a coastal town in Bình Thuận Province, Vietnam, where I experienced authentic backpacker travel and found some great budget accommodations to share with you.

Many people heading to Mui Ne might think it’s hard to find affordable lodging because most images show luxurious and expensive beachfront resorts. But for me, traveling solo and wanting to save money, I chose to stay atThanh Duy Hotelwhich is a small guesthouse with rates around 300-400 baht per night (Vietnamese dong), very cheap for Mui Ne. I booked through Agoda before traveling, fearing no availability, but when I arrived, I found that asking directly at hotels near the opposite side of the parking lot of Phong Trang company, the bus operator for The Sinh Tourist, offered much cheaper prices.

If you have a bigger budget and want more comfort, beachfront hotels are a suitable choice for couples or honeymooners. Besides beautiful sea views, they also have freshwater pools to swim in after enjoying the sea. For me, if I stayed like this, I would tryMui Ne Resort managed by The Sinh Touristwhich is located in the heart of Mui Ne, convenient for travel, close to restaurants and bus stops from Ho Chi Minh City or to Nha Trang. Importantly, the internet here is the fastest I’ve experienced in Mui Ne.

The Charm of Mui Ne and Hotel Location

Mui Ne is famous for its red and white sand dunesMui Ne Sand Duneswhich are vast and offer breathtaking views, along with long beaches and sea breezes perfect for relaxation and photography. For independent travelers, Mui Ne is about 200 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, easily accessible by buses from The Sinh Tourist or Phong Trang companies, which operate daily.

The hotel I stayed at, Thanh Duy, is not far from the bus parking and local market, making it convenient to travel to the sand dunes or enjoy street food. Additionally, this area has many Vietnamese and seafood restaurants. Since Mui Ne is a small tourist town, it has a simple charm and friendliness that backpackers really appreciate.

Travel and Booking Accommodation in Mui Ne

If you travel independently, I recommend asking small hotels near the Phong Trang bus parking area because prices are much cheaper than online bookings. For example, I found Agoda prices to be twice as expensive. But if you are not confident with the language or worry about availability, you can book online first for peace of mind.

However, if you want to save money and are ready for an adventure, I think searching for accommodation yourself in Mui Ne is the way to go. You get the atmosphere and a chance to talk with hotel owners. Mui Ne is not very big, easy to explore on foot, and close to the tour bus points that take you to the red and white sand dunes.Mui Ne Red Sand Dunes

Seafood and Atmosphere in Mui Ne

Food is a must-mention because Mui Ne is famous for fresh seafood. Although prices are slightly higher than at home, the taste and variety are well worth it. I recommend trying lobster and grilled squid, which are my favorite dishes. Or if you want something simple, I once ordered mixed seafood fried rice for about 100 baht, tasting truly Vietnamese. You can try it atFood and Dining in Mui Newhich I have reviewed before.

The atmosphere around my accommodation also has small restaurants and a local market to stroll through, where you can see the daily life of locals and foreign tourists in Mui Ne, especially many Russian tourists, so Russian food options are also available.

Summary of My Stay in Mui Ne with mr.hotsia

For those planning to visit Mui Ne, I, mr.hotsia, want to share about accommodation here thatit’s not always necessary to book expensive beachfront hotels.Small hotels like Thanh Duy offer comfort and affordable prices if you travel solo or on a budget. But for couples wanting a romantic beachfront atmosphere, Mui Ne Resort managed by The Sinh Tourist is an excellent choice because it’s centrally located, convenient, and fully serviced.

Mui Ne itself is also a town suitable for relaxed travel, market strolling, tasting fresh seafood, and exploring the unique beauty of the red and white sand dunes. I recommend planning your Mui Ne trip carefully and don’t forget to explore accommodations yourself for a genuine experience.
