I recently had the opportunity to visit Buon Ma Thuot, the capital city of Đắk Lắk province in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, known asThe Coffee Capital of the Worldand famous for its unique indigenous tribal cultures as well as a peaceful atmosphere unlike the hustle and bustle of big cities.

During this trip, I stayed here for 2 nights and would like to share my accommodation experience because many may be looking for affordable, quality, clean, safe, and conveniently located places to stay in this city. I explored and found that Buon Ma Thuot has two main accommodation zones: the area around the Tank Monument in the city center and the area near the evening market and Coop Mart shopping mall.

This first zone is a lively area popular with tourists, filled with restaurants and bars. There are small alleys with about 5 hotels priced around 500 Thai Baht per night, which is affordable and centrally located with very convenient transportation. Another zone I stayed in is near Coop Mart, the major shopping mall in Buon Ma Thuot. The hotel I stayed at is MAI ANH hotel, located right next to Coop Mart. This area suits travelers who prefer convenience, with many delicious and affordable food options, especially the food court on the second floor of Coop Mart where I enjoyed rice with curry, fruits, desserts, and refreshing smoothies that were clean and reasonably priced.

Nearby are the Buon Ma Thuot morning and evening markets, perfect for those who like to shop for local food or fresh ingredients to cook themselves. Across from the evening market is a men's barber shop run by a friendly young woman, a small but charming local experience that impressed me with the locals' care.

For relaxation, many hotels in this zone offer traditional massage services (such as Buon Ma Thuot Massage) at affordable prices, a great option after a day of sightseeing.
