The roasted duck here is different from the MK-style roasted duck we have at home but has its own unique charm that is very addictive. I researched and found that the duck’s stomach is stuffed with the Chinese star anise leaf, called “Mắc mật” in Vietnamese, grown in northern Vietnam, southern China, and Nan province in Thailand.

Lạng Sơn roasted duck must be eaten hot; otherwise, the deliciousness decreases significantly. I chose to eat from a street vendor who had just finished roasting.
