Cat Cat Village in Sapa has many hill tribe people. I saw many Hmong people as well. The famous tourist village is Cat Cat Village, pronounced 'Gat Gat'. It is 3 kilometers from Sapa. You can walk or rent a motorbike to visit. I have included a tourist village map below. There are two routes to explore the village; I recommend starting from point one and walking downhill through the village to the last point, number 14. I rented a motorbike to explore.
Then I drove on to visit Silver Waterfall because I was short on time after visiting the Thai village in Ban Ha. I found that village less interesting as it is similar to our Hmong people. The highlight and beautiful spot is Silver Waterfall. At the waterfall viewpoint, there is a Hmong tribe performance, but an entrance fee is required. The view from above overlooks Cat Cat Village.
