Vung Tau is famous for its beautiful sea. Many Vietnamese tourists come to visit. The east coast beach has tourists swimming from 6:00 AM (Vung Tau Beach). The back beach is Bai Sau Beach, a curved beach on the east side, the longest and most beautiful beach in Vung Tau. From the small mountain, you can see many hotels and resorts along the beach. The west side beach is suitable for watching sunsets. Vung Tau has two small mountains near the sea.
There is a coastal road along the east bay recognized as the most beautiful road in Vietnam. Many hotels, restaurants, and cafes are located there. On the mountain top, there is a lighthouse and a statue of Jesus Christ, a famous king. It is one of the large mountains higher than the beautiful west side of the coastal city. On this mountain, there is a white palace at the top and resorts. Visitors can take a cable car or electric gondola from the mountain base to the top.
Below and around the mountain range is a coastal road surrounding the area, a project connecting the two mountains. This is a strong attraction of Vung Tau, making people come to Vung Tau. The sea of Vung Tau is another reason for its worldwide fame. Vung Tau sea has two sides: east and west. The east sea is where many Vietnamese people swim because it has a long beach and shallow water. The west side is narrow but also crowded with people on the beach. Most accommodations are scattered along the beaches.
Vietnamese people stay on the east sea side where small alleys lead to hotels with rooms costing 300-400 baht per night. Vung Tau sea is famous and a relaxation spot for Ho Chi Minh City residents, reachable by boat in 1.5 hours.
