This river flowing through Ben Tre is known by two names: the Mekong River and the Ben Tre River. Actually, it is the Mekong River splitting into two main branches. This branch is the larger one passing through Ben Tre province. The bridge crossing the river is built high, and walking up there to enjoy the view is very beautiful.
At sunset, the sky turns golden reflecting on the river. I have both videos and photos. I recommend reading about my trip to Champasak when I took a boat to fish on the Mekong River. The sunrise there fills the Mekong River with golden light, much more beautiful than in Ben Tre. The guesthouse owner named his place Golden Light Guesthouse.
