This city was once part of Phibunsongkhram Province of Thailand before being transferred to France during King Rama V's reign. At that time, culinary culture was passed down and blended harmoniously with the local Cambodian food.

When I arrived in Srisophon City, the first interesting thing I found was a made-to-order restaurant playing Thai TV for customers to watch while eating. For breakfast, I chose a restaurant beside the morning market in Srisophon City, a hub for local food. This place serves crispy fried chicken over rice, paired with freshly cooked steamed rice. The taste was quite good. I also tried a unique way of drinking tea called 'inverted tea glass,' where a hot tea glass is turned upside down on a small plate. This tea-drinking method is something I have never seen elsewhere. It offers a strong tea flavor and a cultural experience through tea drinking.

Srisophon City is the capital of Banteay Meanchey Province, located not far from the Thai border at Poipet (about 40 kilometers).
