If someone does not know what the Chen clan is or its origin, visiting the site might feel like just seeing a beautiful tourist spot without connecting to its story. The Chen Clan is the origin of many famous Thai surnames such as Ratkul, Phophanpanich, Kayuraphan, Chunhawan, Wasurat, Tangmatitham, Danpaiboon, Tantivit, and others. These names are familiar, right? Chinese people have been living in Thailand for thousands of years, and those with the surname Chen or Tang come from this lineage. The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall in Guangzhou was built over a hundred years ago by the descendants of the Chen family. Today, if we are descendants of this clan, visiting here feels warm and like coming home.
Tourists can purchase tickets to visit the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. During Chinese New Year, Chen clan descendants gather here annually to pay respects to their ancestors.
