Traveling Hubei Province, Wuhan City

The river is about 2 kilometers wide (compared to Bangkok's Chao Phraya River which is 400 meters wide). With this width, over 50 years ago, China successfully built a bridge across the Yangtze River. It is a bridge where both trains and cars can cross simultaneously. It is a pride of the Chinese people and the people of Wuhan to this day, and it is one of the tourist attractions in Wuhan. I don't know what other tourists visit in Wuhan.

But for Mr.Hotsia, this city is notable for the Yangtze River. I recommend coming to see it and taking a ferry across the river, as well as riding the subway that goes under the Yangtze River. As for the Crane Tower, which is popular among visitors, I was indifferent and did not go. Wuhan has AirAsia flights, making it known to Thai people and used as a transit point to visit Changsha, Zhangjiajie, and the ancient city Fenghuang, all top-grade tourist destinations. Use Wuhan as a base before and after your trips by plane.

Some people just come to spend a few nights shopping here before flying back. Traveling in Wuhan, which is a city in a province deep inside central China with the Yangtze River flowing through, the lifestyle of the locals is quite different from ours and unlike southern China. When I visited Wuhan, I walked around the city to see what the locals were doing, taking the subway to various stations and popping out to explore the city.

I also visited the computer building in Wuhan. The computer sales here are very serious and exciting once you see it. This is one style of travel by Mr.Hotsia. The most convenient way to travel to Wuhan that I recommend is to fly AirAsia to Wuhan International Airport. Flight prices during promotions are between 2,000 to 3,000 baht one way, which is not expensive compared to traveling by land from Thailand, which would take much longer.

Another option is to fly to Guangzhou and then take the high-speed train or Chinese bullet train to Wuhan. Accommodation in Wuhan is like any big city, with many hotels to choose from, which can be overwhelming. When I traveled, I took the high-speed train from Changsha to Wuhan and happened to see a city map made by a hotel. We just pointed to the taxi where we wanted to stay and that was it.

If I may advise, book your hotel in advance online. Also, now applying for a Chinese visa requires both round-trip flight tickets and hotel reservations, so booking in advance is necessary. On the first night I arrived, I walked to eat a pork barbecue buffet near my hotel, Home Inn. Walking out, smelling the stinky tofu, gave a real Chinese city travel atmosphere. The pork barbecue here comes with free unlimited beer.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know at first and only drank a little, two bottles. The pork barbecue here has plenty of food. They even have a drip tray to absorb grease under the grill. For breakfast, I ate at the hotel. For lunch, I ate at the computer building ordering by pointing at pictures. For dinner, I ate at Wuhan’s pedestrian street at a fried chicken shop similar to KFC but a different brand. The next morning, I flew back to Thailand and ate instant noodles at the airport with free hot water, sitting in the passenger waiting area.
